Had a lovely 4 days at Daws Bank Cottage, it was really comfy, roomy, clean and peaceful. We will definitely go back again. Easy access to the motorway so that you can go and explore The Lakes and surrounding areas, Penrith, Keswick and Ullswater are well worth a visit.

***** Very special long weekend

We did three days walking and it was a complete blast - lovely self catering unit, and not too far from the hills, and a nice dog to fuss in the evenings. Very impressed and hoping to go back soon. Parking for two cars and so close to the motorway.

The property was very rural and picturesque, although a little far removed from the Centre of Lakeland, a nice setting in itself. The house interior was well presented if a little rough and ready on the outside. The farm area wasn't really child friendly but our little boy loved saying hello to Mickey the dog and Ruby the pony every morning. Graham was a great host and looked after us very well. Great value for money and we all had lovely holiday.

***** Affordable and very lovely!

We stayed two nights at Dawbank as our base for touring the Lake District. It was a perfect choice: very affordable, spacious, close to the motorway and local towns (but quiet and peaceful) and our kids absolutely loved the rural farm setting with very friendly pony and dog.

The cottage had everything we needed in abundance - plenty of bedding and towels and a thoughtfully stocked kitchen. Graham took excellent care of us and was there when we needed him, but never invasive - the perfect host.

We would highly recommend Dawbank to anyone, it was the highlight of our trip to the UK and we would return in a heartbeat :)

Warm and comfortable cottage, warm welcome, lovely views, will return to explore area in the summer. Winsford.

We had fantastic stay of 7 nights. The cottage was comfortable, clean and safe to stay with 3 young kids. Lovely views around the location and convenient to get to other attractions and M6 easily. Welcoming owners. We would definitely like to come again. Bushey, Hertfordshire.

Falkirk.

An excellent base if you are exploring the East Lakes (and beyond!). Very friendly owners, who explain everything when you arrive. You enter into a porch (heated) which is great for boots and coats, as well as a place for a dog to stay. It has a lovely kitchen, with everything you need, and a comfortable lounge with great views! (Settee base a little too soft for me as I have a bad back [note - we've replaced this!]). Bedrooms are comfortable and warm, with a lovely clean bathroom. The cottage is easy to find if you follow their instructions! Rotherham.

Lots of pleasant walks from the house. Very comfortable and hospitable!
