Set on a hilltop with views of the Howgill Fells, Daw Bank is part of the hamlet of Greenholme, a small rural farming community surrounded by beautiful countryside.

The cottage is an 18th century barn converted in 2007 to an "upside down" design, and the living room windows afford views of the Howgills and the Lune Valley across the famous Shap gradient of the main West Coast railway line.

Greenholme is in the Westmorland Dales National Park, just north of Tebay Gorge and not far from Orton, within easy reach of the Lake District National Park, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Eden Valley.
